Truth be told , its my stubborn German blood. The Insurance Co. stood by me 100%. They offered to pay $2,000 for a 2 day independent Assessment. After the 1st few hours of day 1 , he said that it was pointless to continue. He wasnt going to be able to sign off on my " Disabled " tag , which would have put me in a program to continue rehab with a goal of reentering the work world in some capacity. That was 6 months ago , and im coming up on my 65th birthday in 2 weeks. I am choosing to take all my retirement benefits from all sources and remove the disabled tag from the Gov't. As of Jan 1 , 2026 i am free to do whatever i want , without any Gov't or Insurance Co. assistance. Im capable of doing almost everything i used to , just at a slower pace. Im still improving every day and im not ready to call it quits and be put out to pasture. Again , thats where that stubborn German blood kicks in.
Hey , im not without flaws , and i know i manifest a lot of my personal frustrations here on BMR. For that i appologize to anyone who felt offended. Im still a work in progress , but getting better all the time
