I think we're turning into country hicks....

Tonight we are having Pork Hock Pea Soup. The wife must be having some Beverly Hillbillies flashbacks or something. I'm guessing next week we'll be having fried possum with grits and black strap molasses.....

I'll try to remember to post a picture.

Wife loaded the crock pot this morning with "stuff" and it cooked all day. We just finished eating.
I got to admit. That soup was pretty damn good.

I think what makes it taste good is the pork fat/bone marrow rendering in the soup. You take the bone out and the meat falls off the bone. Was very very good soup.

I have to admit though, I'm feelng a little country boy like now. Maybe I'm Jethro Bodine reincarnated.
