Reminded me of the stories I read about the immaculate reception.

I think the refs left the field that day to call someone snd came back awhile later, like 20-30 minutes the way John Madden tells it

And eventually ruled the Steelers the winners over the Raiders

Today it seemed like Aaron Rodgers was about the only one who wasn’t completely confused by the long huddle and ruling. Seems Rodgers knew it would be a Steelers win the entire time

Rodgers said that he read the refs lips and saw him say "OPI, end of game". No that it matters but I can't figure out why the penalty wasn't enforced.
Because the game was over

Time expired on an offensive penalty. If it was a defensive penalty and Detroit didn’t score then the Lions didn’t score they would have had one untimed play

St Brown was tackeled at the 1/2 yard line and pitched it at the 5 yard line. How is that not forward progress being stopped?

OPI was horrible, but game should have ended based on forward progress. INSANE refs ruled a TD. Everything was wrong on that play
