Fantasy football pools

I agree the guys and gals that have been here the longest, helped build the site, posting each day (post count) and are pulling for it to do well long term should have either a guaranteed spot or a very good chance to get in.

I think that would also guarantee a fun draft because it’s much more likely those posters would actually be at the draft and do it live and not put their draft on auto-pick, which is boring as hell.

Maybe one league of regulars that get a special invite and a league or two of folks that are newer or are up and comers in the forum.

Also Enikk, I’ve never used yahoo in the leagues I’m in now. Is it decent? I’ve only used ESPN. I seem to recall my niece’s sig other saying they used yahoo last year and he didn’t like it.

I haven't played in years since my States I lived haven't allowed it. I don't play free ones for shits and giggles so no money on the line than I am not playing. I only played the more expensive ones so the competition was there. I always played CBS Sports or Yahoo. I didn't mind yahoo. We will definitely get TTWarrior's opinion as he will know what will be our best format for what we are trying to do. I too am worried about the competition of opening it to everyone than they not actually try and ruin the flow of the leagues.

You should probably stick to a major contest. That is what people generally like.

Need ideas on "icing on the cake" extra contests you don't see often with some skill involved. 33 pools are luck. Maybe a confidence 1-16(depending on byes) straight-up weekly pool NFL pool.

I like the idea of having a private league for the regulars, could be 12,14 or even 16

And then we can open up 1 or 2 leagues for anyone in case someone bails halfway through the season (huge crime in my book). Love the idea of using btc for buy-in/ prize. No need to have the site do that. And yes, live draft only. If you cant make the draft you can't play with us lol

I'd say let newbies have a league of their own, to earn their way into next years private leagues, but that might not end well, participation wise. So here's hoping you allow a couple wild cards like myself to play against you guys this year in fantasy football ???

We don't do post up here unfortunately. Everything has to be given away or played at a pay site

Since I'm relatively new here, I probably don't qualify as a regular yet. I'd say let newbies have a league of their own, to earn their way into next years private leagues, but that might not end well, participation wise. So here's hoping you allow a couple wild cards like myself to play against you guys this year in fantasy football ???

As long as you are active, all contests for the most part will be set up for everyone. That is why I was looking for options with fantasy because this would be the toughest. I am not sure what the activity rule will be but imagine we will have one after a 1st half Nascar contest player made 12 contests picks and had 13 or 14 posts total after 3 months. Some people ruin it for all.

We have so many pros playing, I just hit the all-in button and hope for the best. usually they fold but when they push as well it is "oh shit, I'm screwed"....
