DraftKings & Fanduel group have always been scumbags

For years they distanced themselves from sports betting and always talked negatively about the hobby so that they could continue fooling states into believing Fantasy Sports isn't' a form of gambling

They when PASPA is shot down and states start legalizing, guess who comes running wanting a piece of the action...

Not surprising - FD booted me 2 years ago after about 90 days of action. They don’t like when you get on a little streak - even at their shitty lines.

DK continues to welcome me - even though I only play for the bonus / risk free bets. At one time DK was generous with the gifts - not since Dec 2023 for me.

I love how ESPN was so quick to jump on the story about how Baltimore is suing both FD/DK - like they don’t make a ton of cash off a competitor licensing their name for their product. And Baltimore just doing whatever they can to try and shake a few dollars from the “money tree” that is sports gambling.

It’s like when the racinos started 30 years ago - some little states strapped for cash allowed them - then neighboring states saw them making $$ and they started it…pretty soon most states had them. Then same sports betting - same progression. Fantasy sports led to betting apps - soon enough it will be online slots everywhere.

Yea - gambling addicts are the biggest danger in Baltimore. Not heroin and gangs…oh wait, those industries aren’t controlled by well financed individuals who can pay to fight the cases. It’s funny - some attorney tells the city they need to sue the apps - meanwhile another associate tells the apps they need to defend their service from the cities “interfering”. Wanna guess who the “winners” are in those cases that drag on for years and go nowhere ?
