Guy just got to the team and threw 100+ pitches just 4 days ago. Tigers have a completely rested bullpen i dont think Morton will get thru 4 innings. They need wins and there are very few scenarios they leave him out there. Ump leans towards hitters and Phillies have a nice chunk of lefty batters.

I bet dollars to donuts AJ Hinch was involved in getting Morton from Baltimore. Morton used to pitch in Houston when Hinch was coaching there in 2017 and 2018. Hinch loved the guy since he helped them get Houston's 1st World Series. Granted it was during "trashcan gate".

Morton's been pitching 17 years.

I cancelled my wager. Don’t like it. Mahrley has a hard on for ringing up batters. Morton has tremendous history against the Phillies sticks. And the Phillies are on a strikeout tear as a team over the last two weeks. 5th most strikeouts in the majors.
