It's good to see billionaires give back in a capitalistic system that is built on the backs of underpaid workers and wealth inequality. It would also be cool if free or affordable education was widely available to everyone in the world. Maybe there are too many billionaires. Does one person really need over 100 billion dollars? What's next trillionaires and quadrillionaires?

A truncated mean or trimmed mean is a statistical measure of central tendency, much like the mean and median. It involves the calculation of the mean after discarding given parts of a probability distribution or sample at the high and low end, and typically discarding an equal amount of both.

Do we really need to discard an equal amount of both? Maybe only trimming the upper end is better for sports feature engineering. Many baseball statistics are clustered in low numbers and not very dispersed. Trimmed mean might be more telling than a median for that type of data.
