It's possible the dog knows without ever actually getting hit, but the video rubs me in a way that that's not the case here.

I've seen this video below, but I also get the feeling it's a set up and the dog may have been trained already...

Yeah, but still amazing and an "awwww" moment when you see the mom react like she does. She's protective but not aggressive. I haven't really seen that before. At least not like that.

That's a little odd, and I've trained a number of dogs and dealt with rescues that have been beaten.

Almost feel like the mom has been trained to put the paw up, then again, there is a look of learned helplessness in the mom.

I can only analyze what I see with what I know.

Never biting anyone just trying to stop the "fight".

I was gone for a few days and I cannot wait to be back home to hug my baby again! They are the best creatures God has ever made.
