Are there specific days/weeks time for the healing process, KVB? I'm just curious since I know someone who will undergo surgery next week with I think the same medical issue as you since you mentioned the "parathyroid gland".

About 1-2 weeks recovery. I was up taking long walks right away, but not much more, yet.

The first couple days were kind of bad, it was tough to swallow. I’m actually pretty good now and tomorrow will be one week.

If you or your friend have any questions, feel free to ask, I’ve done a ton of research. I jumped through hoops to get to the doctor at UC Davis, perhaps one of the best in the world, at this surgery.

The most important thing could be to have an experienced surgeon do it, it’s kind of intricate and there are things that can go wrong.

I think she already got it covered. But I'm actually the one who's very curious about the whole process. You are not allowed to talk during the healing period, right? It just scares me to imagine the surgery.
