I’m glad you are able to get the proper relief from your meds. I am curious to know what alternative medicine you found for pain ? If you don’t mind me asking.
Most of the opiates will come in different milligrams and acetaminophen (tylenol) but the manufacturers cut out 30, 20, 15, and 5 mg dosgages leaving the one I am prescribed, the 10mg with acetaminophen.
That means all these other patients with other doses are now getting those 10 mg prescriptions, so there's pressure on that supply.
This has been happening for a long time but I never felt the shortage at my pharmacy and in california.
My pharmacy had the same 10mg oxy pill without the acetaminophen. So my doctor quickly switched to that and I can just take tylenol (or generic) with it to get the same med.
An alternative, but actually the same dose and opiate I was getting before.
WIll be having a couple of neck procedures coming up and they recognize I will need these meds for that.
I don't take them that often, as I mix in healthier options, but they have been helpful. I usually take pain meds when that RF wears off and I need to burn the nerves again. After burning the, I tend to quit those meds until I need them again months later.
It's an off an on thing for me, but the timing of the shortage scared me a bit as I will need them in the next couple of months, unfortunately.
