Sucks. Was diagnosed after a trip to the ER on Thursday evening.

Feel pretty bad. It’s worse at night. That’s when the congestion, drainage, body aches really kick in.

They put me on an antiviral medication I take for 5 days.

I also got it in early 2021 and it was much worse then. Temp 102.5, horrible night sweats. All the symptoms were much worse.

My temp spiked at 100.4 first day and has been normal to low grade since then. Definitely a difference from the one two years ago but I still feel pretty bad.

Hoping it’s over in 5 days like the last one. Definitely hoping I don’t lose my ability to taste food for 7-8 months like the last one either. That was maddening. ER doc said he hasn’t heard about taste loss near as much lately.

And yes, for anyone curious I did have the vaccines and booster in 2021, starting shortly after I had COVID the first time.

Know idea if that antiviral even helps if your healthy

Some do not take it
100% it does though its effect obviously wanes, hence why it helps to stay updated

If not fully updated @BigJay I would go get the latest booster a few months after you’re in the clear from this illness

I'm so sorry to hear this, BigJay. Just still try to eat even if you lost your taste and try to build up your immune system. Covid is totally not cool.

I just had my 4th vaccine last Monday.

Sorry to hear about this BigJay.

I take vitamin C (extended release so as not to upset my digestive tract), vitamin D, zinc and of course a daily multivitamin. I'm not a doctor so I don't know if that all works but if I've ever had Covid, I didn't know about it.

Hope you get well soon, I’m surprised so many of you are still taking the Covid jabs, it seems everyone I know that got the shots also has gotten Covid afterwards at some point, it’s obviously not a vaccine that works and shouldn’t be called one imo
