I think its hard to read too much into it. So many factors play out in the tournament games (matchups, near home, etc...) but, SEC is setting records with 7 in the sweet 16. Old record was 6 with the ACC.

Football-Basketball-and possibly even Baseball - the South-Southeast will always have the best athletes overall

Kids aren’t as loyal to their local schools as they used to be though

If you use Florida as example, Miami, Florida State, Florida used to all be competing for national championships.
And there was still enough talent leftover that UCF and South Florida were good too

Now kids leaving to other states

We could see an all SEC final 4 but odds are semi-long on that....
  • East: I foresee a Duke /Bama matchup likley so Bama would have to play well to make it.
  • Midwest: Tennessee/Kentucky will play Houston.
  • West: Florida has to get by Maryland and likely play Texas Tech (I don't see Arkansas winning vs Tex Tech)
  • South: Auburn beating Michigan is likely and then they have to beat Mich St.
That would make for some upset fans across the country.

Only 4 conferences left. Crazy to think that 14 of the 16 SEC teams made the tourney, if you count the first four games.

On another note, and I think we've posted on this before, didyou just paste that in from an excel spreadsheet?

I've noticed the only way I could pasteit clean is to open a 1x1 table and paste it inside there.

Otherwise it comes out funky, even when I try to remove formatting, etc. I think I figure it out once, but have no idea how to do it again without creating the 1x1 table.

I think the number end up with a .1 decimal when I just paste in a spreadsheet.

Yeah... That's been a problem for a year or two now (1's showing up in front of numbers) when you cut paste from Excel.

I Just convert the number in excel to text using =Text(ref cell, 0) and recreate the table in Excel before copying and pasting into BMR post. That way you avoid the 1's issue.

South: Auburn beating Michigan is likely

I think, from an inital analysis, that Auburn could be on the chopping block in this market.

And I've called Auburn "men among boys" at BMR before.

Thankfully, we have time to see some of the market organize itself and time to really game out the implications of an Auburn loss.

In other words, I ain't betting Michigan just yet, even if they were so kind to us on Saturday.

So you think Mich ML might be a winner or just the spread?
I think 8.5 is a big number for this game.

Not betting yet, I don’t treat these games in a vacuum.

At this point, if a team can cover the spread, they can win the game.

I do think, regardless of the scenarios that play out with the other games, that Michigan is a good candidate to open a trade on the ml and then look to sell back when they lead.

The issue with selling back is that it will be tough to get a good Auburn number LIVE, so the trade could be limited in that sense. By the time I decent number on Auburn does come out, they might very well be losing that game.

I’m still working on it, but it helps me immensely to bounce these ideas out.

I mentioned in the Candy thread how busy this gets and how sometimes I just need to get shit off my chest . If I start revealing more analysis and gaming scenarios out loud, it will probably happen in that thread. Like on Saturday, where some posts were even deleted after they were read.

When I create the moneyflow parlays, we’ll see how Auburn/Michigan shakes out.

One thing I will say is there’s a lot of pressure for Michigan to fail, same with Michigan State.

If I was a number one team facing that pressure, like Auburn, I would be very nervous.

I always say sports has a way of making you look smarter than you are, and making you look dumber than you are.

This weekend it made me look smart, lol.

So now the sharks are out and it’s like finding Nemo in the minefield…

"New shit has come to light, man." (see explanation and clip at end)

Further analysis, just done in the last few minutes, supports this post above and even further makes Michigan a good candidate for this type of trade.

There are "traps" out there, and this could be one. I would be wary of the first half bet, as an Auburn run at the end of the half can and will spoil that trade. Some in my circles think that if it's Michigan, as I propose, then it's Michigan all the way and no Auburn bet pays. But I wouldn't go that far, yet.

So even if a trap, it should show a close Michigan game before Auburn takes over.

I am under pressure to perform and I will have many conversations this week, and they will sound like this...
