One of my daughters , who's musical ear i always respected , told me she had recently converted to present day Country. It was crushing to hear. This same kid @ 16 had " Ironman " by Black Sabbath cranked up one day when i came home. I just dont get Country , old or new. I will say that their concerts attract a lot of hot chicks tho

Same happened to my daughter. She converted to country in college.

I will never understand it.

My dad used to play Cash records when I was a kid so J.C. always brings back memories for me. As I said before he actually cut 78 records and had a large collection of C&W and polkas,etc lol. all on 78 records which I think I still have.

No one influenced me on Country music though, by default I already like it, though I'm not following all Country singers.. only a few.

IDK - anyone else think Luke Bryan ‘tries too hard’ to be ‘country’? Too polished and corporate for me…..
