I stand by my pick and my words. The Jays offense is their strength but their pitching is their biggest question mark headed into the WS. I didn't pick them in the last series because I felt Seattle had the slight edge in pitching and when it comes to winning in the playoffs pitching matters. Obviously the Jays bats were enough to overcome Seattle's pitching but I'm not sure they can pitch well enough to silence LA. I hope they can because I hate the Dodgers but this is a different animal and I think for the Jays to win they're going to have to swing the bats well against a team with a pretty stacked rotation but an average at best bullpen.

I wouldn't hedge but maybe if you see them get up in the World Series you sprinkle a little on the other side just to be safe but I don't think I'd even do that. Let it ride I think the Mariners are the most complete team left.

Mariners pitching is why I picked them to win this series. I think they can pull it off if they keep getting solid starting pitching like they did tonight because that's where I kind of feel like they have the edge over the Jays and to me that's the one edge that matters in October.

As for this comment it was replying to a guy who had a Seattle Mariners WS future bet and I believe an AL pennant bet if I'm not mistaken. I don't believe in hedging but then again I rarely if ever make future bets because I don't like tying up my money so I just gave my opinion what I would do if I were him and it wasn't life changing money.

Just root for your team no need to be a jerk about a post I made where I picked against your team in a just for fun baseball playoff pickem contest I was in. Easy Sailor , no need to put words in my mouth or accuse me of being someone im not. NOBODY attempted to slam you ( Please recheck my original post to you ). It was YOU who responded to my comment with a statement that wasnt accurate. Im not in any contests here , so i have no idea if you made some sort of pic somewhere. How you bet is your thing and i would NEVER go into a posters thread and openly cheer against a play ( regardless of whether it was " My " team or not ). While we are on that topic , i have done nothing but show support for your plays in your daily thread , and even did the same a while ago in Tanko's Best Bet thread. YOU are the one who very rarely came in to support other posters , my thread or the Best Bet Thread.

I believe these sites were intended for us to support each other in our mutual endeavor to rob from Da Man. I have never been anyone else in my 20+ years of posting on these site....

I didn't have a play on the series. I just picked the Mariners in a free pickem game on espn and was rooting for them as the underdog and team that had never reached the WS. I hope the Jays win the WS but I had no play on the ALCS except for each individual game which is how I like to bet. As for not showing support for others plays in their thread maybe I could do it more often but it's not that I'm not rooting for you guys I just don't have time to read every thread on here and comment on others plays. I just have time to post my plays before I head off to work.

I'm a life-long Jays fan and hate to say this, but I don't see any scenario where the Jays win 4 against the Dodgers. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dodgers sweep, but more likely Dodgers 4-1 or 4-2. Snell, Yamamoto, Glasnow, Ohtani ... good pitching will always neutralize good hitting.

The Jays don't have a bullpen. I don't trust a single guy in that bullpen, they're all trash. The Dodgers have enough video on Yesavage and will figure him out; Scherzer will probably give up 6 runs in the first inning. This is why the Jays celebrated like they won the World Series last night... they should be proud of their over-achievement, but in my opinion, the buck stops here.

I hope I'm wrong... sports is the greatest reality TV where anything can happen. Go Jays Go!
