Trick now is to walk away. So much candy dangling in front of my screens right now, but, just like sports, discipline is the MOST important aspect here.

Overtrading has caused the death of many bankrolls.

Overtrading has caused the death of many bankrolls.

I almost took another trade.

Was going to buy INHD when it broke 8.59 for a run to over 9.00.

But it suddenly went from 8.55 to 9.37 and halted. I did not get in at all.

It started trading again, went to 10.54, then halted again.

Fuk, I just missed a good one...

Trading PAPL, Pineapple Financial.

Halted on the way up, for the second time. Brought this stock up in the Bitcoin thread, they are buying INJ for a crypto treasury.

We are up so far, with more to go.

Traded this off and on as it ran from 4.86 to 7.86.

Now I can afford to pay Big Worm...

I love to see this. People can make some cash at day-trading (semi-day trading).

I took two weeks vacation in the late 90's to try it. I had studied on it for months to be ready. Made a little money and learned a lot but, realized I was +money due more to the broader market drivers than finding the gems.

Respect to you KVB for being able to do this.
Reminds me of this movie.

There’s been a lot of studies done active traders 99% end up losing money

Gold, thos studies are old, during the dot com bubble even, and the access to information and trading is better than ever.

I refer you to this post so can understand why those traders lose. They have no plan, they over trade, they get emotional, they look just like you when you bet sports. They never even had a chance to get profitable.

It's not becaue the market isn't paying us....

Common Gold.

Are you trading? I've been trading all summer, sniping as best I can.

Let's be honest, the same reasons so many lose at day trading are the reasons they lose at sportsbetting.

Get those things under control, show some patience, some discipline, and you can succeed at either one.

Make a video how to beat the stock market

A video of a trade would be pretty cool, actually. Here are the basics...

1) Set up your scans to find low float highly trade moving stocks that hopefully have a news catalyst to get them moving. Exlcude the OTC stocks.

2) Buy the first pull back and go for the next run up. Pay attention to .50 and dollar intervals, and get out at the first sign of weakness. Use the low of the pullback as your stop and buy that next candle to make a new high.

3) You will know if the trade is going to work right away. If not, get the fukk out. We do not fall in love with these stocks.

4) These are base hits and the key is to be disciplined enough to only trade the best, high probability setups.

5) Be aware of the general market. Be aware of the themes of the day or week, or month. Be aware of those chinese stocks, and beware of the chinese stocks, and sometimes be aware of the crypto stocks too, because you might have to beware of them.

6) Be aware and beware of your own psychology at every moment.

7) Practice in a simulator until you are consistently profitable. Prove you have discipline by only making the one or two best trades of the morning...win or lose.

8) Seek to profit on a 2-1 basis, where you risk, say .10 to make .20. You will hit some that will be much more than 2-1.

9) Do not hold the losers, get out and move on.

10) Patience, discipline, practice are all necessary to win here.

11) I mainly reference 4 charts. Daily chart at glance to see potential resistance. Then I use 5 minute, 1 minute, and a 10 second chart. I often replace the 10 second chart with a tick chart.

12) When it's time to trade, I'm staring at the level 2 and time and sales with my finger on the button ready to by and even sell on the ASK. But I'm not afraid to sell on the BID when it's tanking.

13) I can hit nearly 70% at better than 2-1 reward-risk. If only we could get that in sports.

14) I'll say it again...Patience, discipline, practice are all necessary to win here. Practice in a simulator until you are consistently profitable.

15) Once you trade your own money, start slow, prove consistency, and stay even keeled. We only truly get it when we are trading real money.

@jjgold Do you have what it take

Do you take advantage of futures trading with the leverage if you’re discipline it’s really the way to go

I think you could be right here.
One of the main reasons is the liquidity that's always there.

I went back to trading this summer because I was day trading LIVE MLB for profit but I realized I needed far more liquidity.

I'm building a trading bankroll with these high probablity trades and then planning to add highly leveraged futures trades. Right now, I'm staying focused on scalping.

Most of my action is pre market and a bit after the open. I'm not overtrading. I'm done with stocks by 7 or 8 am my time. So that part is working out well as far as sports go.

But I get the benefit of staying dialed in all day, so switching back and forth between sports and stocks can really be taxing. It's why I put stocks to the side last time.

But I'm trying again.

Fukk.

6 traders so far today. 6 wins, 0 losses.

I'm managing risk too well. I keep letting of my winners way to fukkin soon.

1 trade only made $1.01. But at least it didn't lose.

A couple of trades made about $60, but had I held a little longer they would have made more lik $150 each.

I need to get better at holding my winners.

I'm so risk adverse that it might be working against me on hot days.

It was in MMA, they announced Donald Trump Jr. is being appointed as a strategic advisor.

Stock went from 1.10 or so to 5.16. I rode it from about $2.40 to $4.89.

Stock is already back below $3.

LMAOOO

I might be done trading for the day.
