I was good friends with Anderson Cooper's roommate at Yale. It makes for a rather interesting story.
Anderson Cooper grew up living in a penthouse in New York City. Imagine the stark contrast of going from that to living in a dorm room in a college.

Anyway, I told my friend Anderson would be in town and asked him if he would stop by to see him. He said he would not as he and a few of the other guys in the dorm made fun of Anderson being gay when they were in the dorm together. Eventually Anderson moved to another dorm.

My friend also said that he thought the reason Anderson's brother jumped off the balcony of their penthouse was because he was gay too.
