I left out details that are just as hilarious if not more so in order to save time.

let me know if you want details.
Give us the details, but put it in a smaller font because the thumb scrolling can start to irritate jk lol.

So my boy back then was and still is crazy as fukk.

We obviously needed to haul this fukkin boat back from Florida but he wasn't going to use his truck to do it.

Instead, this crazy fukk makes arrangements with a rent-a-car place to rent a truck and tells them we're going to North Carolina to do some hunting 🤣 😂 🤣

We got back to the rent-a-car place and the dude almost had a heart attack when he saw the miles we put on it 🤣 😂 🤣

Then, when we got down to Key Largo, the dude he bought the boat from in Ebay, he has this storefront that was also his house is the best way I can describe it.

So we walk in and immediately there's this funky smell, bad smell. I'm like wtf.

Dude walks out from behind some kind of counter, and walks over to introduce e himself and the smell was this dude's body odor!

So he shakes my hand and says how you like weather down here? I say it's hot enough to take a shower, or maybe 2 indirectly saying it to him in reference to his odor.

This guy fukkin laughs and says most days we don't shower down here we just jump in the ocean for a swim. I say well that explains it and he just gives me a funny look but doesn't ask what I meant.

Damn some are savage af down here lol, Key Largo is like 90 minutes south of me which is the 1st Key of Florida. In Broward County, where I live, we take showers daily unless we don’t have them readily accessible lol. Quick question was the guy from Key Largo white or black ? LMFAO

I liked what I saw down there for the most part. I need to really visit it and spend time there though.

Fishing in Islamorada sounds great to me for some reason.

Fukkin awesome.

Florida appeals to me so much.

Maybe I'll move back down but not the Atlantic side only the Gulf side.
Yeah, you’re better off on the West Coast. The people are better and real estate is not as expensive.

I don't like the Atlantic side.

People don't realize. The Atlantic Ocean is the most vicious and violent ocean on earth.

The Gulf side is so calm it looks like glass.

You are absolutely right, my friend. When we go fishing for mangrove snapper in Islamorada, they hang around on the Bayside where it’s flat and nice like you just mentioned.

Exactly, bro.

It's glass on the Gulf side, meanwhile, on the other side is a fukkin hurricane.

Yea - get it from time to time. I have an Appalachian accent - the problem is I also mix that with an East Coast style of talking. Hillbilly accent and fast and to the point style of talking does me no favors in some corners of the country.

In North Carolina - no one notices the accent - but the style of speaking gets me in trouble. Texas it’s the opposite.

Worst one though was Minnesota - people there looking at you and saying “you talk funny” - like yea - you really think the rest of the world outside of Canada sounds like you when speaking English ?!? It’s like a very cold version of the South there to me…everyone acts like a Southerner with their laid back manner of speaking - has a weird accent and is mistrusting of anyone who doesn’t look/sound like them. Oh and of course they have their own “names” for things that no one outside of the area knows what in the hell they are talking about.

You brought up Candadian accents. I don't know why but I love talking to Candadians. Not the French speaking ones, the Bob and Doug McKenzie type accents "eh".

So... you have a Boston type accent KR.... Where they say "warsh" instead of wash or is it more of a Boston Southie type accent?

I've lived in Texas almost my entire adult life but I grew up in Iowa so I have no accent.
People who grew up in Iowa (and eastern Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana, etc speak what is called the "Midland Dialect" and is the most neutral dialects in English.

Lots of broadcasters are from this part of the country: Walter Cronkite, Johnny Carson, Tom Brokaw, Ronald Reagan, etc. They were chosen in part due to their neutral way of speaking.

One thing I noticed about some Midwesterners though is that they drop the "g" in words ending with "ing".
"We're workin' to do some runnin' around and thinkin' about doin' some drinkin' afterward."

I grew up in the Midwest too and used to do this until I moved to California and noticed they pronounce the full "ing" sound so I made a concerted effort to post the "g" when I spoke.
