A lot figured I’d never leave my hometown and probably be dead by 50.

In that way - no I didn’t. Left and never seriously considered a return and I figure I’m good until 51 at the current rate.

They also figured I’d be a broken alcoholic and gambler. Don’t drink much and still gambling.

Is "how you turn out" defined by yourself, your friends, your family or your legacy?

I'd put legacy ahead of opinions, as those change, and people view you as they like, emotionally or based on the last thing you could do for them. Selfish IMHO.

JJ, what will be your legacy?

Very well said.

Legacies are defined long after we are gone - as are our peers. There is no “emotion” to what you have accomplished - only lasting evidence.

One day we will all be going - and whatever platform BMR is on those days - how many will remember anything we said here? They will however remember our actions - the positive and the negative.

There is still time to change if you don’t like where things are headed - but just remember the clock is ticking faster than you think.

Right now, I should be at the basketball court coaching

And If you had been more dedicated to it - there would be a local court named after you. Maybe even an arena with a statute of you out front.

Kids would likely mock that school for having a small peckered bald man in front of their arena everytime the schools played - but you would have a legacy none the less.

Can't say for sure.

Never knew what I really wanted.

Just knew that I always loved gambling.

My youth was fukkin crazy.

I remember one day, freshman year of high school, went to Church in the morning.

Church got out, went right to a pay phone and put $500 on the fukkin Raiders.

Went home, changed clothes, right to the bar, drank all afternoon, Raiders won, went home, ate Sunday dinner with my family, went right back out to the bar all night.

School came the next day, go into class, fukkin teacher has his feet up on his desk, face behind a newspaper, and all we heard was.....

(My name) ya loser, how much you lose this weekend?!

Whole class starts laughing, I say I'm up $800 total how much you lose you loser?

He looks out from behind the paper...."Who you like next week?"

f*** no I ain't telling you.

I lost relationships over gambling.

Not that it was the be all and end all because pussy came to me like a magnet.

I really didn't give a fukk.

The one girl I was really in love with, she told me one day, you either stop gambling or I'm out.

Well, I'm gonna miss you baby.

Thing is, I just always thought chicks were never serious. These chicks are all fukkin whoers.

Like, let's be honest, if you really love me you won't give a fukk if i gamble or not. You love me for me, right?

Never found that. These chicks were always selfish.

So i just thought none of them ever really loved me and went on my way.

I think I'm happier now.

These chicks today are terrifying.

Think about it. You get married, pop out a couple babies, next thing you're on the hook forever.

If she leaves she gets everything.

For what? Spreading her legs?

Fukk that.

I refuse.

To each his own I guess.
