Looks like this is it for the crew...last dance
The only one that could leave is Draymond

Steph and Klay are there for life. Wiggins and Poole for a while, and they got nice deals on both of those guys.

Ownership more than willing to pay the bill for winning. They're so deep in $, they don't give a shit. Their investment has already grown astronomically

First class organization....best in professional sports right now.

This bill has been issue for a while now btw. They've known they were going to have to swallow it for basically a year when they decided Poole and Wiggins were going to stay

Warriors did a great job with those contracts

If Draymond goes, then they live with it. But still a chance he stays IMO .

The nba won't allow it to continue

The cap wasn't put in place to simply be ignored by larger revenue teams, it is there to create parity and retention of homegrown stars, not to enable a bottom less hole of trophy chasing that skews FA valuation

The NBA can’t do anything about it

Warriors are willing to pay an absorbent luxury tax bill. Most teams aren’t

The Warriors being great is good for business. They have no incentive to try and stop that

Plus Warriors are the definition of a homegrown team who retains stars

LOL

The NHL ripped apart the TB Lightening after they used a loophole to retain Stamkos following his injury

The owners are a fraternity, not a brothel of discontent whores, they play nice and this situation was probably given a handshake "OK" because of Stephs popularity w the marketability but no, it's not how leagues operate or thrive going forward and no owner, in any professional league, thumbs his nose at the keague or other owners. Ask Snyder how that's going...

This isn’t the NHL or NFL buddy. Way different dynamics

The NBA literally can’t do anything about it. Owners can’t cry about the Warriors having the stones to pay a fat luxury tax bill. It’s not a league problem

Warriors are just playing a different sport bud. Maybe the Wolves can take em to 5 this year :)

Serious question here....

What would they do? I'm wondering what steps the owners would take against one another that would pass. They may have to get outside the box thinking going....

They've forced two involuntary sales in the last 5 years for mere comments.

They forced the Houston GM out for supporting human rights in China.

What can they do...they can take the franchise, they can put a competitor across the street, they can black out the games, they can change the tax to retroactive or increase it...

It's a monopoly, the league and owners can do whatever they want to inflict pain upon a non compliance situation
