Regardless what happens That was straight bullshit. Nobody from the Giants blocked the Patriots defender so he had a clean sack. Zebra called that roughing the passer straight 🗑 call.

He hit the QB high. Even though it doesn't look like his helmet hit Love's chin on replay, in today's NFL that's a penalty every time. Either Belichick will coach him to make regular form tackles in that spot or cut him. That's a penalty his teams don't make.

Just my opinion...

Everytime the QB goes down hard its roughing the passer. That was an excellent clean sack imo. But in the end it didn't matter.

Until 2 or 3 seasons ago it was absolutely a clean sack, and even now it doesn't look like the QB got hit in the head. Still, going high and getting even near the QB's head is a penalty every time. If the LB had hit the QB around the navel instead of around the collarbone it would not be a flag. A lot of fans don't like it, but that's just the way it is now.

These roughing calls have definitely gotten out of hand the last couple of years. And the worse part of it many times is the inconsistency.

In one game you see a call and you say what the fck is the defender supposed to do grab his flag? And then in a different game 5 mins later a QB gets side-swiped and no flag.

It can be maddening at times esp from a wagering standpoint on these games. Because of many of these calls are game changers.

SharpSquare, remember how hard the Saints got f*cked in the 2018 playoff game vs the Rams? The refs throw flags every play, but guy eats it on that play.

I'm not a Saints fan. But I have full respect for Brees as a pro. Between the Ram game and the impossible finish vs the Vikings in 2017.
