7. Adrian Martinez, Kansas State. If we’re taking about polarizing quarterbacks, Martinez may be at the top of the list. During his four seasons at Nebraska, he accounted for 10,792 total yards – and 48 total turnovers. He could be No. 1 at the end of the season if things go well in his new home.
8. Max Duggan/Chandler Morris/Sam Jackson, TCU. Coach Sonny Dykes said all three are likely to play against Colorado, which is kinda sorta a power conference school. Also, Dykes said it doesn’t matter who starts. Not sure if this is sustainable. It will be interesting.
9. Jalon Daniels, Kansas. In the Jayhawks’ final three games, Daniels competed 70.7% of his passes for 706 yards and six touchdowns – and beat Texas. A small sample size to be sure but the Jayhawks haven’t seen a quarterback stretch like that since Todd Reesing.
