Former Mavericks majority owner Mark Cuban chimed in on the controversial Luka Doncic deal for the first time, saying Dallas should have a gotten "a better deal."

Cuban just playing the public in this “they should have gotten more” discussion.

Dude - you own 28% of the damn team !! If you seriously don’t like the decisions being made and feel the team is giving assets away - either get another 23% of the votes and change GM or sell your share in protest.

But what will he do - he’ll sit back, enjoy his millions and the cash flow his share generates and continue to make money off those unpopular moves the GM makes - and he’ll continue to second guess when they don’t work out and remain silent when they do.

Cuban did when he was the majority owner of the Mavs. He wouldn't have done this trade in a million years and if he did trade Luka he would've at least seen what other GM's would offer because you can bet they'd make a pretty sweet offer if they knew Luka was available.

Maybe they really don't want to invest more on Luka by paying that supermax extension contract thinking he'll fail in future seasons. I think they've become impatient.
