Because some of are lazy and/or tech neophytes who don’t understand how any of this works and assume it’s just like PayPal/Zelle with a different name.
It is a valid point though - I’ve been at least getting a basic level of education on crypto though recently - and the more I read up on it the more I agree it will be a thing for a while. Decentralized currency holds a lot of appeal to a lot of different people.
