IMO if the top 4 teams win they are all in, and it would be the 1st time all 4 teams would be undefeated in the CFP.
That's very likely scenario based on the lines.

I'll say it again, the only way things get messy is if Bama beats Georgia. If that doesn't happen things fall into place pretty easily.

That scenario is not likely at all

Very decent chance 2 undefeateds go down

Washington is probably going to lose to Oregon, and Florida State definitely could lose

The football world should be rooting for Washington and FSU to lose

Yes

I’m saying there is very little chance the 4 undefeateds win which you said is likely
I meant all the Favs are very likely to win.
Wash is going to lose IMO. The next most likely undefeated team to lose is FSU.

Hell I rank the likelihood of losing for these teams.

1. Wash - Almost a guarantee (kind of).
2. FSU - This could happen vs Louisville
3. Georgia - Not likely but possible.
4. Mich - Never going to happen. Team bus could crash with 1st team and 2nd team would still beat Iowa.

The committee doesn’t put the 4 best teams in no matter what they say

They put the most “deserving”

So yes they could leave Georgia and Ohio State both out despite them probably both being in the four best by anyone who watches closely

I suppose that's how it should be

We automatically want the 'best team's' in, but tend to forget that in all other sports the best team doesn't always win in the playoffs

And these next games in college football are basically 1-Game playoffs to see who gets in

Kirk Herbsteit was making this point on last nights show & says that's why there are so many lopsided wins in the playoffs.

If Georgia wins Michigan wins and Oregon wins those are the top 3 IMHO. Florida State wins their in. But if they lose its either Ohio State or Texas in the 4th spot. I have overlooked Texas. Both them and Ohio State will have 1 loss if Texas wins. Somebody is gonna definitely get screwed here if it turns out this way.

Ok so lets try this.

What if:
Georgia loses
FSU loses
Texas loses

These are all possible (not likely).

Mich/Bama/Oregon- who's the 4th team? Georgia/Ohio St?
