Okay then why did Alabama and Texas stay behind Ohio State but Oregon was in front?

Oregon had the worst SOS of everyone

The committee fucked up and their process sucked. But they lucked into a 4 that works.

week 14 rankings 5 thru 8 explained, on four 1 loss teams.

(top 4 were Undefeated at the time)

5. oregon. eye test. pac 12 was rated very high also due to OOC wins vs losses. they had lost by 3 points at wash midseason then ripped off multiple big margin wins
6. ohio state. had just lost to michigan in very tough game and due to recency they were placed behind oregon
7. texas. they were barely winning against houston, TCU, Iowa State, k state. only 1 bowl team in that group. so they were placed behind oregon and ohio state who were winnng games by bigger margins, looking stronger as a team.
8. alabama. they were placed here due to H2H loss hosting texas in week 2.
