Sanders made the Pro Bowl.

Heres why, kinda…

Maye in the Super Bowl
Nix injured
Mahomes injured
Jones injured

Did the rest of the QBs say no thanks?
Not sure you can say he "made" the pro-bowl.

He was the only one left in AFC after all the injuries and the other QBs said, "No Thanks". No one wants to play flag football.....

Literally, they are saying on ESPN all the other non-injured QBs passed on it.

It has become as stupid as college bowl games. None of the players gives a crap about it.
In the future anytime someone says, "Joe QB was an 8 time NFL all-star", it will mean nothing.

I don’t get it - why are so many simply declining the opportunity.

Yes the organization is a total dumpster fire

Yes the city is a shithole

Yes you will likely lose more than you win

BUT

They will pay $$ to get someone

You can expect to have time - it’s not like 1 losing season is going to cost you the job.

It’s by far not the end of your career if you fail - blame the owner/players and no one will blame you

And there is some talent - a strong defense and a young offense. If they draft a WR and a couple of O line studs this year it’s not unreasonable to expect a 7 or 8 win team.

Maybe you get lucky and they con Houston into giving Stroud away for Gabriel and a 2nd rounder. Maybe they get even luckier and someone overpays for the high first rounder on draft night - getting a mid round and a first next year.

Too much emphasis on coaching in the NFL - these guys get all the credit/blame - but coordinator does 85% of the work.

"Several candidates have withdrawn from consideration or canceled interviews for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching position in early 2026 due to a combination of an unconventional, intensive interview process, concerns over organizational dysfunction, and unfavorable job security, according to NFL reports"

Unconventional interview process, concerns over dysfunction and unfavorable job security turning off candidates ???

I don’t get it - Browns get hammered for operating in this fashion yet BMR has candidates standing in line wanting a job with a similar work environment?
