I mean they are protecting their investment for when it counts but for the love of the game fans and gamblers this is fvcking horrible. If they are not going to leave their starters in for more than 80 pitches in a perfect game than how can you bet them full game??

That's too bad. I wonder how many more chance he'll get for "perfect" game or even a no-hitter.
I guess its too early in the season (especially w/ short pre-season) to push pitchers too far.

I've heard most teams will allow pitchers to go ~75 pitches 1st game and add 10-15 for each subsequent game to protect them.
