It is illegal to have any electronic devices in the dugout per MLB rules (thank you Houston Astros). The only devices allowed are MBL issued Ipads.

Granted is was a simple mistake but, I'm surprised MLB didn't fine PIT for the screw up.
Maybe because its the Pirates, the MLB front office said, they've been through enough over the years.
