I wonder if Kelly's contract is like Franklin's at Penn State.

Franklin is required to look for a job and if he gets one, PSU cuts whatever his new salary is off of their required payout to him.
i heard franklin is going to apply at Polk High as he wants to bring them a city championship like in the glory days of Al Bundy

Oh wow! This is nice.

I would apply a delaying tactic in finding a new job though lol haha.

Naw.... He just needs to look for a job he likes, even the High School coaching job Jamesy mentioned above.

No matter where he works, his new salarly + PSU payout will max out at $49M+.
He's basically topped out for the next 5 years until the PSU payouts are done.
Would be awesome to see him get a $100K/yr job and make PSU pay the entire $49M.

Holy s#it......
Wow.... Kelly is owed just over $54 million in buyout money, and that looms as one of the issues in the discussions.

Wow....

This is complete BS on LSU's part. He was fired. Period. Pay up.
This part of the article makes me laugh.....

The suit alleges that LSU told Kelly's representatives Monday that Woodward did not have "the authority to terminate Coach Kelly and/or make settlement offers to him" in October, and thus, Kelly was never officially terminated.

Saying the Athletic Director doesn't have the authority to terminate the job. That is 100% a lie.

We can expect LSU to now fabricate something to have a "for cause" reason for firing Kelly. The fact they will create this after he was fired shows it has zero credibility.

Correct. A contract should be honored, it was there for a reason.

Yeah LSU has no leg to stand on here

With all the comments made when Kelly was fired by LSU and its higher-up representatives about his “firing” because they didn’t make it to the playoffs and win nattys etc

Bad look for LSU

Might make a high-profile guy think twice about heading there to coach
