no incentive whatsoever to succeed when you have a buyout like this
i heard franklin is going to apply at Polk High as he wants to bring them a city championship like in the glory days of Al BundyI wonder if Kelly's contract is like Franklin's at Penn State.
Franklin is required to look for a job and if he gets one, PSU cuts whatever his new salary is off of their required payout to him.
Oh wow! This is nice.I wonder if Kelly's contract is like Franklin's at Penn State.

Naw.... He just needs to look for a job he likes, even the High School coaching job Jamesy mentioned above.Oh wow! This is nice.
I would apply a delaying tactic in finding a new job though lol haha.
@jjgold what was your buyout when you came here from across the street??
Holy s#it......
Wow.... Kelly is owed just over $54 million in buyout money, and that looms as one of the issues in the discussions.

LSU fires Kelly, still finalizing his $54M buyout
A day after a 49-25 loss to Texas A&M in Baton Rouge, LSU fired coach Brian Kelly on Sunday night, with athletic director Scott Woodward announcing in a statement that "we had high hopes that he would lead us to multiple SEC and national championships."www.espn.com
"I want my full money or I'll see you in court."
Wow....
Correct. A contract should be honored, it was there for a reason.Wow....
This is complete BS on LSU's part. He was fired. Period. Pay up.
This part of the article makes me laugh.....
The suit alleges that LSU told Kelly's representatives Monday that Woodward did not have "the authority to terminate Coach Kelly and/or make settlement offers to him" in October, and thus, Kelly was never officially terminated.
Saying the Athletic Director doesn't have the authority to terminate the job. That is 100% a lie.
We can expect LSU to now fabricate something to have a "for cause" reason for firing Kelly. The fact they will create this after he was fired shows it has zero credibility.
Yeah LSU has no leg to stand on hereWow....

LSU had no choice. Everything pointed to being fired without cause.
