Only the all-time yardage and td record will mean anything going forward. Season stats will continue to get inflated as the seasons get longer and the rules get softer. Sustained success should have always been the HoF benchmark, too many undeserving entries in the last decade.

Top 10 RB's Alltime :

Do you consider total yds?
Longevity ?
Team they played for ?
Super Bowl rings ?

I'm sure good arguments can be made based on what one deems most important.

Barry Sanders was the best RB I have ever seen play the position. Walter Peyton would be my #2 based on longevity and a horrible Bears team. Jim Brown only played 9 seasons , but amazing still. Dickerson deserves to be on that list. Emmitt Smith has the SB rings , but is he top 10 ?
OJ was a dominant RB for a crappy team.....
Barkley is finally playing with a solid team that has a great O line , don't think he breaks the record. Either way , the extra games played makes it irrelevant imo

I agree with everything you say here.

Dickerson is the 2nd leading rusher of all time. Sure, some rushers quit early and I respect that. But DIckerson was a quiet workhorse who got the job done.
