You put ketchup on top of meatloaf when you’re baking it, and use it as a base for shrimp cocktail sauce. Beyond that, if you’re over 9 years old, it better be for dipping fries - and even then, there’s other choices…..

I don’t even dip fries and ketchup.

I will admit though that I like scrambled eggs dipped in ketchup. I’m a sick MFer like that, Hopper.

Fries dip - most places, side of ranch - especially if it’s a place that makes their own buttermilk ranch. Even better option - if you’re somewhere like a diner that serves (and prides itself) on its gravy - order a side of gravy. It’s a potato - you’re dipping that fry in gravy the way God intended. I learned that trick from Adam Carolla…..
