So a guy who was banned from responding to chat and admits to being a screw-up is now going to rebuild the site in some unspecified way. This isn't inspiring any confidence in the site.

That guy's writing style reminds me of Sam Bankman-Fried.

Saw that as well. Multiple ways to look at this. Sounds like it was one of the founders who was young when they first started and enjoyed the lifestyle that it allowed. Has since realized that perhaps he enjoyed it a little too much and is ready to refocus. He's essentially being fully transparent here. While I believe in the conviction and intentions, it remains to be seen as to whether the follow through will stand the test of time. Only time will tell.
