The Chiefs defense focuses on limiting big plays to receivers and only give up 150 yards to WR’s which leaves the middle of the field open to tight ends who average 93 yards against them. Look for Cook to be active especially if the Chargers fall behind earl.
Darvish has been a completely different pitcher since the crack down on sticky stuff. Look for the Dodgers to back Buehler tonight as they continue to chase down the giants.
Drew Rasmussen hasn’t given up over 2 runs in nearly 3 months. This combined with the Astros having 1st 5 totals of 0, 2, 0, 1, and 0 in their last games make this a play for us today.
Mixon is one of the true remaining work horse running backs. He could cash this early, but look for him to wear out the Jaguars subpar defense and start to break loose in the second half to cash for us!
Humberto Castellanos has bad numbers at every level this year. In AAA his era was 4.99 while his FIP at the MLB level is over 5. Jon Gray is a veteran starter with a 4.07 FIP this year and will want to end his year strong to build his free agent case.
Coming off a tough loss last week for Liberty, look for them to keep the ball in Malik Willis’ hands on offense and for their defensive front to contain UAB.
This line is low for 2 reasons. The first is Lamar was listed as questionable but reports from Ravens practice Friday said he’s looked as good as he has all year and wasn’t favoring his back at all. The other is the Broncos coming in with a 3-0 record. That’s against the Jets, Jaguars, and Giants. Look for them to be 3-1 after today.
Cook has only eclipsed this number once this season, in week 1 when Ekeler saw no targets out of the backfield as he was dealing with a hamstring issue. With Ekeler fully healthy and the emergence of 2 young tight ends that are nearing Cook’s snap count, he’s slowly being fazed out of the passing game.
The Rays hitters have a combined .843 OPS in 144 at bats against Eduardo Rodriguez. They’ll back their young flame throwing lefty McClanahan and that dominate bullpen while the Cougars defense suffocates a bad Tulane team who’s lost 3 straight games.
Lucas Giolito has a sub 2 era in the last month while Valdez has pitched great all year to the tune of a 3.15 era. In the postseason Giolito has a 1.29 Era and Valdez has a 1.88 era in 3 starts.
Kentucky’s defense has proven to be one of the best in the country, limiting a balanced Florida offense to 13 points last week. Look for the defense to be just as good against a one dimensional LSU team who is trending the opposite direction right now.
The Bears offense has relied on the the running game to take the burden off Fields’ shoulders. Unfortunately for them their star running back David Montgomery is out for at least a month. The Raiders also just got embarrassed on National TV, look for Gruden to have them fired up tonight.
