If reports about NFL wanting to resume game are true, then that definitely was an option

Not that it should've been -- I agreed with decision to not resume game
Although they NFL was likely on the side to resume the game, I think smarter people prevailed.

Instead of talking about Hamlin and the playoff options this week, we'd be discussing how the NFL treats its players as pieces of meat/numbers.

Yeah

There was an announcement from the refs that teams were given 5 minutes to warm up. We saw Burrow warming up, Joe Buck said it,etc.

But it was Zac Taylor who walked over to Sean McDermott to basically talk about not playing

Zach Taylor:

"As far as I'm concerned, we just want the rules to be followed. When a game is canceled, you just turn to winning percentage to clarify everything so we don't have to make up rules. There's several instances this season when a club is fined or people in our building are fined and we're being told, 'Follow the rules. It's black and white. It's in the rulebook.' So now when we point out the rules and you're told, we're going to change that, I don't want to hear about fair and equitable when that's the case."

Got to say, now that we're likely going to see a Bills/Ravens divisional playoff game in two weeks, the Bengals DID get screwed on the home field. It should be a coin toss where this game will be played (if it occurs).

I understand the NFL logic... They indicated a coin toss or neutral field was only going to come into play between teams that played a different number of games. Since Buffalo and Bengals both played 16, the existing records stand and no coin toss will be used for determine the location of the game.

Just sucks for the Bengals having to potentially play in Orchard Park.

I didn’t watch the Bengals game yesterday. Did they let up a bit in the 2nd half from their normal game plan to allow them to come back ?
They were very sluggish in the second half. Couldn’t get anything going. They were lucky Ravens were lacking much offensive firepower (having to settle for field goals) or it could have gotten real interesting late.

They played pretty vanilla all game long

They were mediocre and also didn’t seem to want to show their hand too much.

They definitely were more lazy in the second half though compared to the first

Thought so, their mentality will be totally different next week, they will just have to execute like we know they can. I’m thinking of laying the -6.5, but that would be the most or I will pass on this game.
