no, not at all. Score at the time of retirement has no relevance btw, as long as the 1st set has been completed. From May 16th ?
So Paquet win a walkover - 3rd set never started and match was tied at 1-1 at the time of retirement.
This one seems pretty straightforward actually - the match was ended early due to retirement and neither party had an advantage at the time of retirement.
I could see if you were up a set and leading the 2nd handily - or even had an advantage in the 3rd here. But there was no clear “winner” established - barring injury - live odds would have likely reflected the pre-match betting odds and no significant advantage gained.
Correct call here by the book in voiding all bets.
That’s the way I read it. Seems like player advancing would be winner on pre-match wagerIt's so poorly worded, but I think with 10.4 they mean that if a player retires, they pay out on who advances as long as the first set is completed and settle as no action if the retirement takes plays before the 1st set is completed. For walkovers, they settle as no action since the 1st set wasn't completed. Resign is not a term used in tennis.
Maybe someone who plays there can share some input on how they normally settle retirements? Eitherway, OP has a good case for getting this regraded imo.
What makes you say obviously live bets voided? I see nothing in their rules that suggests different grading depending on if bets were placed prematch or live, I know some books do. The only scenario I would see them void live is if bets are placed after the retirement (10.7). Unless I'm missing something. That’s the way I read it. Obviously live bets voided
