I don't go see these bands these days even if I thought they were fantastic in their prime. This goes for the Clapton, Allman Brothers, Santana,The Pretenders,Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Zeppelin, etc.and yes even the Rolling Stones.
I would go see Jeff Beck if he was alive still as I never saw any decline with him. I'm sorry but at a certain point I think it becomes rather pathetic.
One of the reasons I asked Bobby is he has seen Manilow in Vegas as he is a rare exception still has the pipes at like 80yrs old

Cashing in on nostalgia - nothing else.

It’s not just the 70s bands either - how many 90s bands out there touring with half their original line up trying to cash in.

I have no issue with bands continuing on and making money - they still enjoy playing and people have a good time. But just don’t act like your still the draw you were at your pinnacle. The Stones have done it since the 80s - but at least they put on a 3 hour show and were overall pretty good most nights. Makes you appreciate a guy like Willie Nelson all the more - yea, his shows are short and much lower energy / but he continues touring and makes sure he brings an all star backing band with him.
