Well - you CAN get groceries from food stamps or at the local soup kitchen / food pantry I guess.
JJ doesn’t have a dog and we know he has no interest in ass - so it kinda makes sense.
But agree - for most people picking between groceries or gas is a no brainer.
People love their dogs even more than themselves.
A couple months ago, I was at Popeyes drive-thru and nearby was a homeless guy with a dog. He had a cardboard sign asking for money. I stopped and asked if he needed money for food. He said yes, for his dog. He was a veteran down on his luck. I gave him $20 and then he asked if I would sit with his dog at the outdoor tables while he ran into Walmart next door.
I sat there eating my Popeyes lunch watching this guy's dog and bags. By the time I finished my lunch, he came back with a bag of dog food and treats. I asked if he was hungry and he said it had been a day since he ate. I bought him a Popeyes box lunch.
The guy put his dog 1st. I'm not the hero in this story, that homeless guy was.
Dogs are awesome.
