“Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter Heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father. For many shall say to me, Lord, Lord! Did we not do many wonderful things in your name? And I shall say to them, Depart from me, you who work lawlessness. I never knew you.”
So what is the will of the Father? John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Believe on Christ. Trust in him. That is the Father's will. If Jesus asks you “Why should I let you into Heaven?” And you respond with “Because I cast out demons. I spoke in tongues. I tithed. I prayed. I asked forgiveness. I stopped sinning. I went to church. I was a part of the correct church or denomination.” Jesus will say to you “Depart from me, you who work lawlessness. I never knew you.”
If you were to say “Only because you took my punishment for me, Lord.” Then, will Jesus say “Welcome, my good and faithful servant.”
