Yeah, I need to keep my unit size the same regardless if I win or lose. Last week I went 3X on the Rams +3.5 -124. It paid off, but that was an amateur move.
We have to remind each other whenever we can, it's a tough battle and in many ways it's a battle that lasts forever. Discipline gets easier, but this game can tug and pull at us.
Good to recognize that even though you went big and hit, it's unwise to do.
For many, winning the 3x will encourage more of it.
If your confidence is in check, you can divide your bankroll and take out what your willing to put at higher risk, knowing the consequences.
It's like a separate roll that adds to more confident bets. Say you bet $500 a game. In the other bankroll you add whatever, couple hundred or more, on more confident, rarer bets. Other bets that roll just sits idol.
You are still making the $500 bets and growing that bankroll, and if your lucky the other will grow as well, reflecting the more patient bets that come along.
There are better bets than others out there, and those require patience to get to. I think you know what I mean.
Something to think about.
