This old man can’t even defend himself against disciplinary bar review which has been on hold for about 10 years. Anyway, big deal that the holiday doesn’t actually represent the true meaning. Are we going to eliminate Christopher Columbus Day since he did not discover America.

Juneteenth is more than what or what did not occur on that day. All slaves were not freed by Emancipation Proclamation. And Juneteenth didn’t free all slaves until months later when the 13th Amendment was ratified in December 1865. But it’s encompassed the desire for all people to be free and equal.

Should blacks and females really celebrate Fourth of July? JFC all these holidays have evolved to encompass a broader meaning. But hey, if you want to listen to an old man who still can’t defend himself in his own disciplinary bar review, and yap about things, go right ahead. I’m going to celebrate this holiday with respect along with other holidays.

The previously widely accepted theory was that Columbus was born in Genoa in 1451, to a family of wool weavers. But they now believe he lived in Spain - likely in Valencia - and was Jewish.
