The one and only night I ever spent in the Wynn I started with $3k in my pocket. This was about a decade ago.

I was going to play one hand of high limit blackjack for a grand to see if I could get up early. Lost the hand. Then played another BJ hand for grand. My cards totaled 9 and the dealer was showing a 6. I went ahead and doubled down. Asked for the card down. The dealer turns over a 3 to go with his 6 and draws a face card for a 19. So just to push the two grand bet I have on the table I need an ace myself or I’m busted. I’m already thinking if I want to pull a few hundred off my credit card. I flip my card and it’s an Ace, giving me a 20. A four grand swing in my favor.

It starts a night where I literally can’t lose. One of those few times in gambling that everything you do works out. Between high-limit baccarat and 5/10 poker I just keep winning over the next 10 hours. I walk upstairs where the ex is sleeping and count the money. I had $30,400. I wake her and she’s all excited of course. I had her put it in the safe and pick a passcode I couldn’t guess. Had her wake me at 2 and we went to their steakhouse where I was comped from the night before.

We took a cab to the Wells Fargo about 4 miles away after we ate and deposited $7,500 each into both of our checking and savings accounts ($30k total). Went back and checked out of the Wynn and spent the next three nights at the Mirage. By far my biggest night/gambling score.

Wow what a gambling story & fun experience for you. My only two visits in Vegas were very modest as far as gambling. Both times I went with different women who don’t really gamble. I wanna take a trip out there with “the fellas” next time for sure & see if I can run it up real big or run it down some lol.

We had it down pat. We would take the 7 pm flight from San Antonio and I’d usually spend the first night gambling while she walked around and shopped.

After I pulled an all nighter or a close to all nighter I would be lower energy most of the rest of the trip. We’d sit and play the ponies for a couple of hours, or video poker, maybe downtown to play the penny slots or cheap blackjack, but mainly just seeing shows or concerts or eating good food after that first night.

That was summer of 2014.

I’ve been going since I was 21. Probably been there 20 times at least.

Me and the ex used to go 2-3 times a year. For about a three-year stretch. Me and the current gf went in 2018 twice, second time to see Lady Gaga which was awesome. But the last time I went was February 2020 to see Fury-Wilder 2.

Had VIP reservations/comps for opening weekend of March Madness 2020. We were going to take her son for his 21st birthday, that was the week everything got shut down and canceled.

You’re like the seasoned vet over in Vegas as a visitor. I need to head out that way when you are there lol. I already semi planned a trip out there in June with another poster. Do you have any plans to go out there this year ? Also what hotel/casino was the best experience minus the gambling outcome …

How was it bundled/presented? Just curious. Did he show up with a duffle bag or briefcase?

I loved the Wynn/Encore. Most comfortable room I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful property. Always wanted to get back there but my comps were with the MGM properties. We were going to stay at Aria one year but had to cancel. It’s supposed to be excellent too.

A lot of people love the Bellagio but it’s too spread out. Me and the gf stayed there once and you literally could almost walk a mile from your room to just about anywhere on the property, Starbucks, small burger joint for a quick bite. It was like a big, crowded mall. I love the Venetian shops. But from what I hear, Circa is the spot now. If you can afford it I’d definitely stay there.

If $$ is a factor just shop for the best deals and read reviews.

Yes. Anything over 10,000 cash we have to report. Form 8300

if i know the person and they tell me in advanced they are bringing 10,000 cash i try snd hint hint nudge nudge and tell then to bring in 8,000 cash and a check for 2,000. So no need to fill out the form

Don't forget to count 1, 2, 3 before running Sam,. haha.

I'm surprised that it's okay to do cash transactions, especially with that amount of money.
