Anyone ever use a pay toilet?

They put some in a Home Depot in Houston years ago.

A coworker was telling us about how he took his 4 and 5 year old boys to the store and the kids had to go to the toilet. He told them where it was and let them go on their own (it used to be safe to do this back in the day). It ended up being a pay toilet and the kids didn't have money and were too young to figure it out so they went out to find dad in the store.

As they were looking for Dad, they passed the toilets on display and just dropped their pants and one pee'd and one took a dump in the display models.

Everytime I'm in a HD or Lowes, I think of that story.

i think in the us, yrs ago the pay use to be in the airports

That's where I saw one. When I was a kid in the Midwest, the airport had a pay toilet that cost a dime. I used it once just to see if it worked.

Eventually they did away with having to pay.

They probably got the idea from my coworkers story.
He said it happened to him in the 1990s.
