I know some people who do it. It def saves you money. Have to find the right situation in terms of amenities and shared spaces. Facebook is not a bad start. Usually join the group of the area you are looking to live in and post that you are looking to rent a room in a shared house.

I rented a room from a drug dealer for 3 years from 2018-2021, he was also a drug addict worse experience of my life. He was a creepy guy too, would masturbate outside my door to my sexual sessions with women I would bring home. The rent was real cheap because I did all the repairs for the apartment we had a fixed in deal.

truthfully if you find the right scenario with good people it is great cause you get a big space and a fraction of the rent.

i used to hook up with a girl who lived in one in a big house. she had a mattress on the floor in her room and a padlock on the outside. she wore too much makeup but fcuked like a slut so i enjoyed my time seeing her.

i'd be scared unless i knew the people somehow, even indirectly.

Renters can be tough to read. Sometimes you get a really good one who takes care of your rental property and sometimes you don't. A credit report helps but that doesn't give you all the answers.

Its a crapshoot at times.
