The resort cancelled the rooms?
That sucks.

Did you ever make it out there with him?
No. They canceled the whole tourney obviously and Vegas pretty much shut down.

Once they canceled the tourney, we canceled our trip

And we never made it back out with him unfortunately. We used to go 2-3 times a year but can’t anymore since the gf raises her daughter’s kiddo, my godson I refer to a lot

Oh yeah. Didn't look at the year of your trip.

Even with legalization of sports betting Vegas is still a great spot to watch games especially March Madness. Various places have different parties and so forth. Always a great time. Always a great time

I love going there to watch games. I've met more people in the sportsbook at the NCAA tourny than I've met anywhere else. And when you go back, they are almost always there each year.

Its a great time.

Do you have a particular favorite book?

I’m just sad the Circa was opened after my decade-plus 2-3 x per year run

Angeleyes has grounded him due to the recent incident.

BTW @BobbyFK , is there going to be any investigation to determine the root cause of the incident or can we assume that's been resolved? :lmao:

Sorry, I shouldn't poke fun. But OSHA called and since there was an injury there will need to be some type of report submitted.

S#it, I got to stop...

Last 5-6 years its been Southpoint.
My first trips to Vegas we were watching the tourny at the Stardust.

In between we went to a dump called Texas Station amonst other places.... It was in N. Las Vegas.
It was a decent book. Lots of locals but it had plenty of TVs, lots of free drinks, and rowdy as hell.

Lets see.... Stardust is gone
Texas Station is gone.
Damn, Southpoint may not be around much longer if the trend holds. :ROFLMAO:

@BigJay where do you stay?
Circa since its opened?
When Circa opened is about the time I stopped going so it’s never really been an option.

When I used to go a lot all my comps were with M Life. I stayed at Mirage by far the most. I think I mentioned in other threads I had an older, old-school like casino host there. He gave me a lot of hookups.

Even though I was by no means a high-roller compared to some, he liked me and my ex, so I always gave him a call before I made my reservations. He’d usually comp all my meals and room and give me vip check in and check out (special little room with comp cocktails and snacks where you didn’t have to wait in long line to check in or out). And a real nice strip/volcano-view room.

On top of that I’d get to take advantage of whatever M-Life promo I received at the time - usually $1k or $500 in comp chips and $250 or $500 additional to go toward anything else.

It all added up to a lot of comps before we even landed at McCarren.

I only stayed at the Wynn once (for one night) and really enjoyed it. It was the night I won the most $$ I’d ever won in Vegas or anywhere else by far.

Always meant to get back there but never did. Visited a few times to eat lunch, etc., but never stayed despite them sending me a lot of offers.

I think I had the Wynn and Encore booked a couple of different times and had to cancel both trips for whatever reason.

No investigation will be needed. The root cause has been determined due to my drinking
