Karen went off

Dad took the home run ball from his kid and gave it to the Karen so she’d leave them alone

Grown folks going crazy about things like being the first to grab a home run ball is insane

Kid was celebrating his birthday too

Great gesture by the teams and the Phillies player to give the kid some gifts

He didnt snatch the ball out of her hand or anything I dont think. The kid should get the ball. Ive had so many balls over the years I wouldnt have made a big deal out of it though. The woman just looks like a completely miserable bitch is why this is getting so much attention.

YouTube video of the whole incident. Makes the Karen look even worse than I previously thought if that’s possible

So glad it was all on the TV cameras. Kid got the sweet hook up for his birthday as a result

The stupidity of people over baseballs never fails to amaze me.

Only thing worse than people killing each other over a HR ball is killing each other over a foul ball. A home run ball is at least something somewhat special - a foul ball is just a used baseball.

I don’t care who you are - unless it’s a monumental baseball - rules of etiquette for fans say any ball hit into the stands should immediately go to the nearest fan under age 12. Fact she stole a ball from a kid is bounds for banishment. Kudos to the team for making it right.

Ok he did clearly run all the way over in her seating area to snatch the ball up

What if she would have had a child with her too?

And then he wants to give that ridiculous fake surprised look

He was wrong and she was wrong for not letting just shaking her head and letting it go

Jeffrey only ball I would have shoved a kid out of the way for:

Me and two buddies had tickets for the Giants at Astros Sept. 11, 2001 weekend.

When the canceled series was rescheduled Bonds was at 69 homers. Our seats were about 12 rows up in the right field bleachers

Sure enough about his third at bat Bonds launched one deep to right. Looked for the longest time like it was sailing right toward us. But alas, sailed into the second deck just above us.

That was back in the day when the record HR balls were going for big $$. Even though he went on to hit 73 the 70th would have been worth some decent coin.

I want to agree with you but I think HR balls are open game for whoever runs over to them...unless it fell in her lap or something...
Yeah I understand & can agree with that

Guess it’s just a matter of morals

If the ball is hit close to me it’s fair game

But I would not go running completely out of my seating are and into other fans’ zone to try & take from them

I guess the deciding factor in these HR Ball debates always includes a kid

So let’s say the woman or any other fans sitting beside her also had kids after that ball

Wouldn't the man then be the villain here?

Is there a cut off though on how many feet you can leave your seat to retrieve a ball, what’s the rule of thumb at a MLB game ? The guy completely left the section of where he was sitting. Now, if I knew he was giving the ball to his son I wouldn’t have made a big deal about it & went about my business.

I read it was the kid's birthday. Kid had the glove ready, i understand why dad wanted to make a birthday at the ballpark special. I'd likely have done the same.

Whatever he did prior to the confrontation was fixed when he gave the ball back in front of his kid no less; bigger man than me. I would have had to be removed from the situation if a woman comes screaming in my face like that.
