This is correct. I went to log in, it said I was banned. I do not know how long the ban lasted, but it clearly said I was banned.

You said you didn't try to log in again and were banned before so I thought maybe the ban had been lifted. Sorry to say you were mistaken, I shouldn't have said that. You never said you were currently banned, you said you were banned before and didn't try to log in again so the current ban status at the time was not 100% confirmed which is why I thought my handling of the matter was not best.

If i had $5 for every time fellow posters and even us as mods over the last 15-20 years have suspected two posters are the same and turned out they weren’t, I’d be rich

It very rarely happens

Regardless we are soon going to delete these posts and threads in which more posters now are singling others out for whatever method they have used

We already had/have 3-4 here who have caused division and apparently still doing it and laughing behind the scenes

We aren’t got to allow it to escalate and putting a halt to it….
