"A sheriff's office crime scene technician, Marissa Poppel, testified on Thursday that the rounds did not match those collected on the set of Rust which were sent for FBI testing."

--> This is the crazy part.
Could have been any one of multiple ppl

In my opinion you can't simply blame the person/actor who used the prop that was given to him

Only the one who made the mistake or did it intentionally will ever know

That turned out to be a waste of time
I wonder why they did not test the empty shells from the very start of the investigation. it's an SOP. It could have been eliminated and dismissed the case from the start.

I wonder if Baldwin even tested for a paraffin test.. or they just assumed since he might be the only one holding the gun when the incident happened.

Very unfortunate accident.
I agree its tough to charge Baldwin for the death.

I was suprised it was dismissed since the extra bullets may/may not have even been involved with the event. I guess the prosecution shouldn't have made the assumption it didn't need to be included as evidence.

NOW comes the civil suit.

Never made any sense anyhow that he was charged

He's just the actor playing the part with pieces they supply to him
That's what I thought at first too. How can you blame someone for a gun that was given to him?

Then I thought if I was in that position I would never trust anyone else, but that's just me. I would look at every bullet in the gun before pointing it at someone and pulling the trigger.
