What’s a piece of advice or information someone has given you that has stuck with you?

Mine would be when buttoning a dress shirt make sure the shirt lines up at the bottom. This way you know if your buttoning it correctly

i wouldn't say this is advice or info?? but i live by the phrase "no pain, no gain" -- i learned this in martial arts. you have to push yourself in uncomfortable situations in order to gain the results you want, and this applies to anything in life
