Hell or High Water was done by Taylor Sheridan who did Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, and Sicario amongst other good projects. Great flick.
Yeah I enjoyed it, glad I read this thread.

This is the funniest shower ever. Love Kenny Powers.
Once got into a political discussion in a bar with a group of people. Got heated. Dude said to me you can't be this unfiltered it's like your the real life Kenny Powers.

I had no idea of who Kenny Powers was or what he was talking about lol.

Wife & I watched M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Trap’ last nite…..

👎

I won’t ruin it, but it was textbook predictable, and a lot of plot loopholes where you’re shaking your head and saying, “Bull$#!T! That would NEVER happen!”

Josh Hartnett was great, though…..

I only watch stuff when I grew up. Everything else is garbage.

JJ’s got a point here.

Overall - TV/movies have went to shit post mid 1990s and really since mid 1980s.

Granted the stuff JJ refers to watching now is probably Saturday morning cartoons - but they simply don’t put the effort into making great stuff like they used to. Comedy especially - there is NOTHING on tv that compares to the 70s and early 80s writing.

How many great westerns were there in the 60s - quality action flicks ? Now you have a million copies of the same stupid Marvel franchise out there for people to geek out over debating minor plot points and characters who make an appearance. The formula was so much simpler on a Clint Eastwood movie - you could watch midway through and know immediately who the good guy was - now you got to watch the first 8 to figure out why something’s funny in number 9.

Three Stooges remains the greatest comedy made though - near 100 years old and they never topped it.
